Technological Renaissance
Sitting in this restaurant updating my blog through my iPod connected wirelessly to the Internet via my phone's mobile hot spot, after having read news articles automatically categorized and filtered to my specifications through Google Reader about such advancements as zero-watt LED-bright fast-refresh e-ink displays and radiation-free X-rays and the Google TV and the next long-range stylish no-fuel vehicles (some of which partially drive themselves) and hundreds of varieties of do-it-all mobile cellular computing and communication devices on broadband-fast global wireless networks permitting anytime-anywhere on-demand multimedia and information production and consumption, while at home robots are cleaning the floors and my living room lamps are turning themselves on for just 8 hours at dusk... I believe we are having a technological Renaissance, the scifi fantasies of yesteryear becoming realities. Decades from now, look back, and remember where you were as it was happening :)
